The Three Ravens College of Therapeutic Shamanism.
Sea Shamanism: a Medicine Bundle course.
A unique course exploring connecting with the sea shamanically, and working with helper spirits from the sea and the seashore, including sea animals and plants.
The course consists of two weekends.
Dates: 2020 - June 20+21 (the summer solstice), and October 10+11.
Venue: Llandudno, North Wales.
Tutors: Chris Holt, Jayne Birkett, Marie Edwards, Paul Connery, and Rachel Surtees (exact tutors to be decided). With additional teaching from Paul Francis on each weekend.
On these weekends we will explore: what the sea symbolises both shamanically and in depth psychology; sea water and sea salt as healers of ancestral and mother wounds and grief; what waves really are (and how they parallel human life and death); sea plants and animals as healers (molluscs, crabs and other crustaceans, squids and cuttlefish, seaweeds, fish, sharks, dolphins, whales, turtles, seals, sea otters, sea horses...).
We will also explore the beach as a margin between sea and land, and what that means. This will include: exploring the relationship between mother and father; leaving mother; boundaries and transitions; tides and change; seashore plants and animals as teachers and healers.
Time permitting, we will also explore how to connect to the spirits of a particular middle-world place and work with the spirits of the land and sea. So taking Llandudno west shore and Conwy estuary as an learning example, we will explore working with the spirits of the beaches, the Great Orme and the Little Orme, Conwy river, the Carneddau mountains, specific stones, caves and trees etc..
